Sticking damper actuator
Sticking damper actuator
I have a BMPlus 2000 with two zones, and the damper actuator for zone 2 is acting up. The controller is sending the correct signals to the actuator, as verified by volt meter, but the synchronous motor appears to be sticking occasionally and not allowing the damper to operate. Damper vanes are free moving, and not sticking. I was able to remove the cover from the top of the motor and kick-start the motor by flicking the flywheel inside with my finger. That worked temporarily, but long term, I think I will tire of this solution quickly. The actuator appears to be an MA-SMDLED by comparison to the picture on the accessory page of you website. I would like to find a local distributor for the part, or if possible buy directly from EWC.
