NCM 300 not working?
NCM 300 not working?
My NCM circuit board appears to be malfunctioning. It controls two zones. At times one zone damper won't open, even when fan is running. In the last few days, the damper opens and the fan doesn't run. Sometimes neither will run. Sometimes the damper will be open and the fan won't run. If I leave both thermostats off for several hours, it will restart and run normally, but fail again after several hours. Is there a remedy or does this indicate that a replacement controller is necessary?

Re: NCM 300 not working?
That sounds like it could be an intermittent issue with the NCM board, especially since it starts working normally again after being powered down for a few hours. Before replacing the controller, I’d probably check the thermostat wiring, sprunki damper connections, and the board’s power supply first. If those all check out, the fact that the problem affects both the damper and fan makes the controller itself seem like a possible culprit. Has anyone else seen an NCM behave like this when the board starts failing?
