When Zone 1 (ground floor) temperature is satisfied AC unit stops

Post by rdmitchell97006 »

Recently purchased home with an EWC zoning systems (BMPlus3000 ?). The home has three floors and 5 zones. Initially I found that all of the upstairs thermostats were NOT set to "Cool" and one thermostat was dead. All of the zones are now working (cool air coming out of the vents). However, the AC unit stops running when the cooling temperature on the first floor (Zone1) has been met even though the upstairs thermostats are set to "Cool". Suggestions?

Are you using the "ONE ZONE" terminal on the Zone 1 T-Stat lower left hand side of the board?

There might be a setting or configuration that needs adjustment in your zoning system. i give you few suggestions to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the thermostat settings: Make sure that the thermostats on the upper floors are correctly set to "Cool" and that their temperature settings are lower than the current room temperature.

Examine the zoning system controls: Take a look at the control panel or interface of your BMPlus3000 zoning system. Check if there are any settings related to temperature differentials or cooling priority.

Verify the zoning system's dampers: Ensure that the dampers associated with the upper floors are open and allowing cool air to reach those areas.
