I have a 3 zone system. It seems that the wafer switches on the MAN fail every couple of years. I have successfully cleaned the contacts on some of these, and extended the life further. Eventually, however, I end up replacing the motor assembly. It seems a shame to have to do this, when the motor itself is fine. Is there a way to purchase replacement wafer switches?
Thank you
SMD MAN Motor Replacement Wafer switches?
Re: SMD MAN Motor Replacement Wafer switches?
Unfortunately, no, we only sell the assembled motor. The only option available is to add a secondary cover to act as a dust cap. You could try using a plastic storage container or cut the bottom off of a plastic half-gallon milk container.
The disk and contacts are made of silver. You are are either experiencing excessive dust or tarnish. Perhaps both. The dust can be blocked. Tarnish can form from excessive moisture. I'm afraid I have no suggestions for how to reduce it.
