UT3000 humidifier/de-humidifier

Post by meassick »

Have a system with two CTK-03 stats, a Goodman 2 stage furnace and two stage heatpump. I would like to add both a humidifier and a whole house dehumidifer. The CTK-3 has nice humidification/de-humidification interfaces. The UT3000 has the dry relay contacts that can control a humidifier. Is there any way of controlling both a humidifier and de-humidifier in this system?

You can only operate 1 ancillary device off the UT3000 IAQ Relay. But that is not bad news for you because you do not need a separate dehumidifier. Our board will accept a signal from the CTK-03 thermostat to dehumidify and in turn relay that message directly to your communicating hvac equipment. This signal will reduce the blower speed and send you into dehumidification via the equipment. You can than use the IAQ Relay to hook up your whole house humidifier.

I use this configuration and it works great in North Texas (Dallas). My humidifier runs when it needs to and the system keeps the humidity down (or gets it down) when it gets bad. It will sometimes overcool a little, assuming you have that option set.

Sound like the board is still situated for hotness pump, check dip switch ought to be on Gas. Later board that light would programmed go ahead as a capacity of the board, yet with nothing wired to the yield nothing will happen.

You can add a humidifier to the dry relay and itb will operate when thermostat call . In de-humid function the thermostat will lower fan speed by as much as 10% in turn more de-humid during air conditioning.
