Fan on NCM300

I am wondering if the Fan should be turning on when the heat is called for? The light does not come on when the thermostats are set to auto for fan control. If one of the zones is changed to fan on then the fan and light on the board will come on after any heating needs are satisfied.

I am assuming that you have a gas furnace. You will not get a call for fan from the thermostat or the board to bring the fan on, the furnace will control that independently. The only time you are going to see the fan light come on is when you call for independent fan only operation.
