Hi, I'm installing 2 new Trane XL-20i ACs and would like to use EWC for the zone control system but I don't know if EWC can control or communicate with the Trane communicating system.

Unfortunately EWC's Zone Systems will not communicate with Trane's communicating protocol.
You can default the communicating system to 24V if you would like however that could cause you to lose some of the advantages you get with a communicating system.
