New Daikin wireless sensor and UT-3000

Will UT-3000 work properly with the new Daikin sensor (DSEN-TH-BWS-A)? It connects wirelessly to the main DaikinOnePlus thermostat. Daikin says it can be used as a thermostat without an interface (I'm assuming for zones). This would be ideal for retrofit zones that cannot easily pull wires to install another DaikinOnePlus thermostat.

No the UT-3000 must have a stat for each zone. Sensors will not work.

If one communicating thermostat sends the data for every zone, there is no hardware reason UT3000 couldn't handle the zoning. I suspect that would be a big software change. I wonder which application Daikin implied for this sensor.

From my experience, the EWC UT-3000 will work with the Daikin DSEN-TH-BWS-A only if the Daikin One+ is properly configured to output the necessary zone calls, since the UT-3000 still relies on conventional thermostat signals rather than communicating directly with the wireless sensor itself. basketball stars

If I configure a DSEN-TH-BWS-A to a Daikin One+, does it matter where I place the Daikin One+, even outside the zone? By having the wireless sensor inside the zone, I could put the One+ somewhere else that is easier to draw wires to. This would really help with zones that don't have access to pull new wires.

That makes sense. I’m wondering about that too — if the DSEN-TH-BWS-A is actually the device sensing the zone temperature, it seems like the One+ could theoretically be mounted wherever it’s convenient, as long as it can communicate with the wireless sensor and provide the proper call to the UT-3000. Has anyone confirmed how Daikin handles the sensor/thermostat relationship in a zoning setup?basketball stars
