EWC ST 2D zone one wont shut off until zone 2 does

Hi,

I have a EWC ST 2D controller and a Honeywell 50061478-004 thermostat our oil guy installed in the winter. Now with the AC running, the first floor-zone 1 will keep running until upstairs zone 2 shuts off. The first floor is set to 74, and at 70 degrees it is still running. I'm not sure if it is a bad thermostat or wired wrong. Do I need to replace thermostat with a TH4110d?
