Is the Emergency Heat/ Normal switch, available on a terminal block? I want to provide a convent switch for the customer to access. (not in the attic)
The system is using a UZC4 setup with a two stage Heat Pump condenser ,dual fuel two stage emergency heat(Gas) and Digital thermostats (2 Cool,4 Heat) with humidity sensors, OAS, RAS, SAS installed. I have eight wires to each thermostat. All of the wires are in use. (R C Y1 Y2 W1 W2 G DHum)
I know if I had one more wire for "O" then I could change the UZC4 and the thermostats to HP, and allow the thermostat to call for emergency heat. Is the Emergency Heat/ Normal switch, available on a terminal block any where?
Emergency Heat
Re: Emergency Heat
Unfortunately, there is no terminal for the Emergency Heat Switch.
If you switch to Heatpump thermostats you can abandon the 'G' terminal and use the wire for the Reversing valve. The panel will operate Heating and Cooling demands normally with out the G present, you will only lose the ability to call for Fan Only.
