I have been trying to upgrade to a smart thermostat for sometime now but keep running into the problem with having both a B and O wire. After reading some posts here it appears my solution would be to replace my board? I currently have a EWC-ST-2E. I have two zones, gas with AC.
Can you recommend a new board that would be compatible with a NEST E and is it simple to replace or will I need to hire someone? Thank you, Scott

You need too upgrade to an NCM-300. You will not use the "O"-"B" wire on the NCM.

Great. I noticed on the NCM 300 that for zone two it takes a five wire. I only have a three wire. Is that going to be a problem?
