Upgrading to NCM-300

Hi

Have a client with a 5 zone system adding Nest to his automation system, an ST-3D for first floor (2) and basement (1) zones, and a ST-2E for both 2nd-floor zones. I will pick up 2 NCM-300's for the client.

Question is, the basement zone has the original t-stat from ~20 yrs ago, and the client has no interest to make that zone nest, will the original t-stat work with the new board, or will a stat upgrade be needed as well. Few that I've done this way have always been all in on new t-stats.
