Heater runs when I'm running my air conditioner

I have an nvm 300.my thermostat will be set to cool but it will actually heat my house.I will have to go in my attic to reset the system.I have to cut it off at the breaker and also the switch the attic and leave it off do at least an hour before cutting it back on.on top of that I have to reset the system and the timer 6 or 7 times before it will half way cool the house.I'm new to this so if you can help me with my problem please explain it so I'll be able to understand thank u.

First, what version of the NCM-300 do you have? If you look on the computer chip in the center of the board, there is a white label with the version number printed on it.

What type of equipment is the NCM-300 controlling? Heatpump, Gas Furnace, Oil, Hydronic, etc.

How are your dip switches on the NCM-300 set? 1 thru 8; On or Off?
