I have a BMPlus3000 rev B on an American Standard dual-fuel, 3-zone unit and would like to replace my three existing Honeywell thermostats with the wiFi enabled Honeywell thermostat (RTH9580WF). The reason for the change is to get the advanced fan control that gradually brings the temperature to the desired setting. My current system goes to hi-fan mode as soon as the thermostats call for a change and it is like a wind tunnel in the house.
I read here in the forum that this new thermostat works with the EWC BMPlus 3000 but wanted to make sure that the Advanced Fan/Comfort Control feature of the thermostat is supported by the controller.
Thanks,
Dan K.

The Bmp3000 only will put out a fan signal , will not modulate fan speed. That thermostat will only work wired to equipment with a modulating motor.

The installed American Standard Gold unit (AUH2D120A9V5VB) is a gas-fired, direct vent, 2-stage condensing furnace with variable speed inducer. It has a variable-speed ECM blower. Does your comment apply to this unit or just to the BMPlus controller capability?

Is there a EWC controller that will work with the Honeywell WiFi Thermostats?
Re: EWC BMPlus 3000 and Honeywell RTH9580WF Thermostat
The BMPlus-3000 only puts out a on fan call to you equipment, will not modulate speed. The thermostat must then be wired directly to the equipment for that function to work, no zone board .
Re: EWC BMPlus 3000 and Honeywell RTH9580WF Thermostat
I recently noticed that air flow seemed to be reduced in zone 1, and that zone 2 was receiving heated air flow even when the thermostat was not calling for heat; I also noticed a thumping sound when the system would cycle off which I took to indicate an over pressurization of the system. Fan appears to run at a uniform speed.

Hi, The thermostat will work fine, but the board only gives on signal to the fan. Will not modulate.
