Just had a UT-3000 installed with my Amana ComfortNet Heat Pump / Gas Furnace and am still getting to know the system.
I have a CTK03 communicating thermostat on Zone 1 and standard H/C thermostats on the other two zones. Per the manual, the "Fan" operation on the H/C thermostats is supposed to be "learned" from what the communicating thermostat does. So I leave the CTK03 at "Fan On - 50%" and eventually, the H/C thermostats start to mimic it with a call for 50% fan.
All is well so far.
However, what I want to do is set the CTK03 to "Fan circulate" mode while leaving the other two zones in "Fan On" mode. But after a little while, the UT-3000 sees that the communicating thermostat isn't calling for fan anymore (between "circulate" cycles) and it sets the other two zones to 0% fan and I get no air at all until the CTK03 calls for fan again.
Is this intentional? It seems the only way I can get the Fan call from a H/C thermostat to do anything is to always have the communicating thermostat in "Fan On" mode.
Also notice my board has v1.16 software -- is that the latest revision and if not, how does one go about performing an upgrade?
Thanks
H/C Thermostats & UT-3000
Re: H/C Thermostats & UT-3000
It is intentional and you are correct with your assumption that you need to leave all three thermostats on fan on mode to receive constant airflow. Otherwise whatever the communicating thermostat does will control your 24 volt legacy stat operation. There is no way for you to perform a software update on the board and we do re-flash boards unless there is an operational problem with the board its self.
