I have two zones that each use an MA-ND3 damper controller. Is it possible that both failed at the same time? I woke up yesterday and it was extremely warm upstairs (Zone 2), but cold downstairs (Zone 1). When I turned up the heat in Zone 1, no air was coming through the vents, but it was coming through the vents in Zone 2. After spending time turning things on and off I noticed the lights changed on each box, but the damper indicators did not move on either box. Until I can get it fixed, I have opened both dampers using the manual gear release and I am treating the entire house as one zone.
I just moved in 6 months ago, but from the paperwork I have these were installed in early 2009, but I think it would be strange that both would fail at the same time. If replacements are needed is this something I can do on my own? Also, would something like this be covered under a warranty? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
