BMPlus2000 heat call issue?

Post by boc »

Hello. Any help with the following issue would be greatly appreciated. I have a heat pump with electric backup and a BMPlus2000 controlling 2 zones. From time to time the thermostat shows 68dF althought the temperature setpoint was at least 3-5 degrees higher. When this happens, Z1, Z2 and Y LEDs on the board are on. Changing the thermostat setpoint or turning it off and on has no effect, the system does not start. It starts only after I press system and timer reset buttons on the board. However, it cycles 2minute on and a few minutes off several times until it switches to the normal run mode (in the normal heat run mode, Z1, Y, W1/B, and G LEDs are on). Sometimes, it continues to cycle that way for a long time. What can cause this? It is as if the heat call from the thermostat is ignored due to some glitch. Thanks.

Is the status light lit solid or flashing?
