Damper motor works inconsistently

Post by dzaurdy »

I have 2 Zone system with control board EWC-ST-2D. One of the motors(I believe zone 1 first floor) inconsistently failed to open the dumper I still searching for a pattern but it seems after second zone shuts off it failed to open back the dumper. If I turn first floor (Zone 1) on its working fine by itself.
I am trying to figure out is it a motor or the Board any suggestions appreciated.

David,

What are you referring to when you mention dumper? Also, what position
are the 2 switches on the ST-2D in?

Thanks for the response Eric.

Board Switches for Zone 1 and 2 are in the open position.

I have blade damper for each zone. Each damper connected to motor
that turns it open/close. Those Motors are in blue boxes(covered with blue plastic boxes).

I searched a forum for a while and I believe that those Motors MAN/MA-5P
not sure if I can substitute MAN for MA-5P or vice vs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

David,

Please contact me at the number below while you are home to troubleshoot the dampers. Please have a voltage meter and screwdriver handy when you call.
