Low voltage on MA ND4, not opening

Post by hawktoter »

I'm trying to use a Bryant Perfect Zone 4 zone system with MA-ND4 motors.

I can't get the motors to light up/open. The control board appears to be initially opening at 28 volts then immediately dropping to 12 volts. I've tried two boards with the exact same results.

What control unit, thermostat, sensor package should I be using with these motors?

The Bryant zone panel is a modulating panel and is not compatible with the Model MA-ND4 Motor actuators.

You can replace the Bryant Zone system with an Ultra-Zone Control panel to work the MA-ND4 actuators.

You can also replace the Model MA-ND4 actuators with Model MA-15s Actuators that are compatible with the Bryant zone system.

Eric,

Thanks for the input. I'll pass this on to the frustrated technician. He's been to the house twice trying to get dampers operational.

I only have 3 wire running to the sensors. Will this work with the Ultra Zone Control Panel?

Thanks again.

Marc,

You can use 3 wires with the Ultra-Zone control panel, but you will have to replace the sensors with Standard Thermostats.
