My power bill

Post by Airteam »

One year after a new heat pump system with zoning. I also installed a tankless water heater and run it on LP gas.

Thank You for the power consumption data.....Congratulations on lowering your energy bill....Are you able to determine how much of the difference can be attributed to the new Heat Pump and Zoning and how much was due to switching to Tankless LP to heat your water?

Best Regards,

John

I would need to get married again and have a few crumb snatchers to give an average on the water savings. I save more because I use less with the tankless method. I think the rule of thumb is that your water heater is anywhere from 20 to 30 percent of your electric bill. My HVAC system is a 2 stage cooling 17 SEER system. The single compressor is a two stage compressor. Not a two circuit system like Trane uses. When I changed the equipment I also tore out the old duct and put back all new duct and built if for zoning.
