You would not be able to tap into the first zone and be able to have complete control in the basement. You could install a damper and a thermostat in the basement, and when the room goes below or above the desired temperature the damper would open allowing air into the basement but air would only tr...

You can set different temperatures for each day, and different temperatures can be set for throughout that day to accommodate for when the house is occupied and unoccupied. The programming is more versatile than just a single set temperature for each day of the week.

It would be impossible for you to have two thermostats on the same zone call for opposing modes of operation. The built in logic of the board would ignore the calls completely.

Dave,

You can use a thermostat with a 5+2 program period, just program your weekends for the same temperature as during the week and you should be all set.

Unfortunately EWC no longer manufactures humidifiers and humidistats. We sold that product line one year ago and we stopped offering technical support in October of 2012. Field controls now owns the product line and offers technical support their number is 252-522-3031.
