Re: What's the definition of percentage in a zone, and what is it used for?
Anibal, The UT3000's PID loop and zone weighting features are a means of insuring that any zone can receive the proper BTU capacity. As Tony pointed out, there's some math involved but it's not complicated. You don't have communicating thermostats, so the UT3000 will always interpret your thermostat...

Re: NCM-300 w/ecobee tstats
By the way...it appears that you are missing a jumper from Rc to Rh on the Ecobee sub-base with the bubble level.

Re: NCM-300 w/ecobee tstats
Sir, That does'nt make any sense unless your NCM300 is being powered from the Furnace transformer, rather than a dedicated transformer. According to your pictures, each thermostat already has a 24v common wire. Please don't do anything until you call and talk to us!...Do you have a voltmeter?...we'l...

Re: UT3000 not configuring single stage heat pump
Sir, Unfortunately, a non-communicating Amana heat pump along with a communicating Amana furnace IS NOT a valid equipment configuration in the "ComfortNet" family of equipment. By wiring the HP in straight cool mode, your contractor was able to get everything to work. A non-communicating A...

Re: Thermostat recommendation for UT-3000
Richarda, Red Link is not the same as Climate Talk. Red Link is Honeywell's "wireless" feature/function, that allows you to connect auxiliary devices such as Outside air sensors, Room sensors, Remote access Gateway, etc. Climate Talk is the "wired" protocol/language that the HVAC...

Re: Thermostat recommendation for UT-3000
Richarda, As a follow-up to your post. Any (non-communicating) Honeywell Thermostat that is "Red Link" capable can be used as Zone 2 & 3. They would be picked up by the HW Gateway just like the CTK04 would. You could create a "portfolio" of thermostats to monitor on your Smar...

Re: Thermostat recommendation for UT-3000
Richarda, The UT3000 is compatible with the CTK01, CTK02, CTK03 and CTK04 (communicating) thermostats. The older models may not be available anymore. The CTK04 is "Red Link" ready and accessible via your smart phone with the Honeywell Gateway. The reason EWC highly recommends that each zon...

Re: Thermostat Options for EWC-ST Series Control Panels
Sir, Most zone systems "default" all dampers open during idle periods. The reason for this logic is because there may be another device tied into the duct-work. maybe a whole house humidifier, HRV or a de-humidifier, that is not interlocked into the zone system. If the zone system closed a...

Re: Nest / EWC-ST-2D Controller
Sagosto, The ST controller's O and B terminals operate like a Summer/Winter switch. It prevents Zone 2 (or higher) from demanding Cooling during Winter time and vise-versa...They have nothing to do with a Heat Pump. Your "paper clip" jumper MUST connect from the "R1" terminal to ...
