Sorry the pics aren't very good but as you can see, a baffle control extends down from the vent and was what had been inserted into the ND3. I can manually rotate it to open and close the damper. I didn't want to unnessarily tear up the damper if there was a method to remove this ...

Patrick, Thank you for the reply and I did receive the MRK kit to replace. Looked like a no brainer but when I removed my ND3, I have a baffle control that sticks down about three inches and unless that is removed, no way to set the new one in.
