I would treat the NCM 3z as a fresh install rather than trying to copy the ST 2E wiring terminal for terminal. The functions are similar, but the way power and commons are handled is not necessarily identical.
If the NCM 3z manual shows a System Common, I would wire it exactly as the manual ...

I would not assume the dampers need to be replaced just because you are changing the zone controller. I would first identify exactly what damper motors you have and how they are wired. If they are standard 24 volt zone dampers there is a good chance they can stay, but I would confirm that against ...
