I was able to use Venstar 1800 in all zones. The only thing I had to be concerned with was having enough wires in the secondary zones. I had only 3 wires available and had to use the Venstar add-a-wire kit to have 4. I used one for R, C, W, Y and tied together W & G on the controller so the fan ...

I had the same zone controller and wasn't satisfied with available options for thermostats. I specifically wanted to install Venstar thermostats in all zones. I purchased the NCM300 and installed this past weekend. It turned out great - quality controller and has status lights so you can see exactly...

With the ST control panel, the R terminals for the thermostats do not provide a constant 24vac. When ever the master thermostat is switched between heat and cool, the R terminal will loss power momentarily and when switched off will lose power all together. The R1 terminal on Zone 1 is constant, so...

Why is it that the C terminal cannot be used? If the thermostat supports running off of 24v, shouldn't I be able to use the C terminal. I have done this with some Venstar thermostats and they work fine in Zone 1. Zone 2 is another issue alltogether - thinking now that hooking up C in Zone 1 is causi...
